Sophie has never thought about it too hard, she just knows that most mornings, Seifer is there at the door when she's heading out and there when she's heading in, holding it open like it's the most natural thing in the world. She says thank you. He says something that almost comes out wrong and doesn't. She smiles anyway. It's a good way to start a day.
